The season in review

I sure hope you all enjoyed Christmas as much as we did. It came and went so fast didn’t it? And as the clock ticks down toward the end of 2009, whether it was a good year or a year you’re happy to see come to an end, either way you have good reasons to celebrate because you’re still with us and a future is waiting for you. With the recession, loss of jobs, and tighter budgets, staying home these past holidays wasn’t so much of an option but a requirement for many of you. Anyway there’s just nothing like a blue sky, golden sands, and that beautiful green water of the Algarve to look forward to. I wish all of you nothing but health and happiness in the coming year. 2010 will certainly be the best!

It’s December and the holiday season is in full swing. Because Christmas is a magic time for cherishing memories – of past family gatherings, children growing up, and laughter shared. I remember singing in a choir in the school chapel of my youth, the smell of my grandmother’s fine home cooking, with elegant dishes that used to delight and astonish, when her kitchen turned festive! The mantel decorated with red candles, in old-fashioned clip-on holders, presents to give and to share, and the most enchanting vision of glowing angels sparkling on the tree. Superb palace of Rococo architecture

Situated in the charming old village of Estói, nearby Faro, set in nearly ten acres, with French-inspired gardens, decorated with statues and trees, where former stables and cow sheds, were now converted into spaces for holding all sorts of events. The palace is decorated with panels of glazed tiles and wide glass windows open to the public following extensive renovations.

Repeat visitor 11 year old Jordan from Scotland, in his inimitable style, having a blast at San Francisco pool! A spot for daily fun, where parents and children hang out together. Other amenities include an on-site playground.

Sweet and affectionate

Every pet is special and Alicia is no different. Along with two dolls she's Sofia's best friend and she loves to curl on her lap, whenever she’s not hiding under the bed.

Xica is a fun and loving little one and doesn’t miss a cuddle from either Georgia, or Billy arrived from Surrey for a last minute escape to a sun soaked holiday.

Once you bond with a pet it's difficult to keep apart. Martim from Lisbon didn't want to leave his affectionate companion behind, and brought Kaiser along to a dog-friendly environment, and had a ball!
